Had my second jab too only side effect so far is that the engine dropped out of my car on the way home, bolt sheared on the top engine mount and the engine fell forwards into the front bulkhead RAC recovering it in 3 to 4 hours to take it to my local garage and we'll see what other damage has been done to it ,what a day

Had the sweats so the heat just made things ten times worse. Nothing like a bit of friendly ribbing though, when you feel like sh1t. I was in my hospital bed for the third time in 12 months (busted collar bone, then busted foot, this time shattered shoulder) when my phone went with a text from the lads at work. "Keep going on like this and the only use you'll be to this company will be as glue ". God it hurt, but I needed a laugh.

Head gasket gone on the Passat on Monday afternoon. It's only done 139K too. Rubbish German engineering . So picked up a cheap runabout Monday evening while I decide what to do with the thing.

Yes Pete, at the end of the day it's why I got back into biking ,my son moved out and took his car with him so I needed back up transport (working nights busses were a no-no ) luckily the bike has been used 95% for fun rather than transport

My mate has a garage and he said I'm looking at £450ish for him to do it. The gasket set is around the hundred mark then it's stuff like antifreeze, oil, filter maybe waterpump and belts etc. May as well change stuff as it's apart. But, I only buy cheap cars to run around in, chuck all sorts of building stuff in and do the school run so it's a tool for me. I got this Astra diesel for £300, mot'd to February so I'll probably fix the Passat myself when I get time, or just get rid of it. It can be driven, just need to keep adding water every 15 miles or so!
