got the renewal through for the kwack the other day and its been hiked up (again) its now at £234, which to my mind is just a bit too much.
so I decided to have a look at multi bike cover, the thinking being I'd put the 400a and the 400n on cover with the kwack, sounds like a plan right? er, no. got a quote back in of £301 (fully comp) for the 3 bikes, problem is I can insure them on individual policies for about £80 less. crazy world...

In my mind, with all that's happened in the last year, the cost of cover should drop. Less traffic = fewer accidents = lower claims? Guess it doesn't work like that.

I ran the kwack through MCN's comparison site and it came back at £111 for 5 star defingymbob cover, its the usual capitalise on the lazy trick but it does irritate me a bit, its like they dont want my business?

Looked multi bike insurance once. Again, no cheaper. When I asked why they said they didn't understand my problem as it WAS for several bikes. "YES", Says I, "but I only have one arse, so I can't ride em at the same time". Still no joy.

Lord Beer has a multi bike policy on two fireblades and the superdream, works out at about £300 a year, but they always try it on, last year the renewal jumped to £600!!! Resisting the temptation to nip down with a war party to burn their offices to ground, I simply phoned up and said I'd had a cheaper quote, and surprise the quote dropped down to £300, robbing B**s**ds. Lord Beer has now set up a suitable insurance company that charges cheap rates, agreeable compensation deals, and has an employee called Conan the Barbarian (him from the films) to visit third parties and agree, helped along with the threat of imminent death, total fault from the other side, stickers are available for customers to warn thy foe.  |
