My son hopes to attend the derby meet, he is a big fan of my white superdream and asked if he could come along on that. It’s been in the corner of the workshop for probably two years gathering dust, so decided I best clean her up and make sure she still starts. So plenty of soapy water was used to wash away a layer of dust and dirt. next was to take her round the block to blow the cob webs out. Well, what a foolish error I made, set off and it wasn’t running very well after about 2 miles, it felt like it was only firing on one cylinder then it died. Hmmmm check fuel tap (why didn’t I do this before I set out) it’s on reserve, rock the bike she’s bone dry 😫😫😫😫. surprising how hard it is to push these bikes when you get older. 😢 Fortunately I guess the Shell station was only about 1/2 mile away. nearly there 😤

Once refuelled with fresh petrol off I went, I have been riding 400’s lately and I was surprised how well the 250 does go, acceleration was brisk the only downside to the 250 is you have to use the gearbox more to keep a good pace going, 6th gear is almost like an overdrive, I find they are better kept at higher revs. Anyone have similar thoughts?
