Welcome, I also have a 1980 CB250NA in custom Silver Metallic... (it was actually manufactured in 1979, I found out recently). Do you have a pic of your bike you could share?

Very nice original bike you have there, what’s your plans for it? Hi, I'd like to gradually improve it whilst still riding it. Certainly not a total stripdown, i am a firm believer in them only being original once. Some of the restored bikes don't do it for me sadly, I love the original lived in look. Do you have a Superdream?

Welcome to the forum, nice bike. I did a double take, with the rack and the stripe missing on the tail piece, It looks like mine did. Yours has a lot less rust, rolling restoration wasn't really an option for me.

Do you have a Superdream? I have both views My German 400 very originai, it will break my heart in the winter when I need to respray the swing arm - all paint on the panels faded but as they left the factory in Japan My NC total strip down and will not be original - many pattern parts, non standard colour -

I used to be firmly in the camp of restore as much as possible but i’ve eased that view over the years. I too have come too appreciate some of the age related look. Still like to rectify damage and corrosion where possible though. It also seems more difficult to do a full restore these days due to the availability of NOS parts. That has probably got something to do with the change in attitude.

Hi Robin and welcome. I have done 2 now both were in need of quite a bit of work . Thinking back the Nc was in original colour but poor condition engine & frame parts The Na I have just finished was over painted grey and the engine head/barrels look like they had been done with black hammerite . So both had a strip down and a tidy up with several pattern parts. Your's looks original enough to keep as is with a nice look to it. All the best Graham

When you say change in attitude do you mean with regards to people valuing the parts and bikes more than they did in the past?
