Been meaning to put up a photo following the purchase of my SD earlier this year. Had some fun with it this year having finally found what I wanted a mere 40 years after I first desperately wanted one, but ended up with a CB100N. Never came to terms with that, so thought I had better address the issue, better late than never absolutely applies here. The SD has now covered 2,650m from new, so should be ok for a few more on sunny days of course. JR1

A few photos before I removed the rack. I will have to take a few more current ones. Still running on the original tyres which are still soft. I believe the bike was stored from 1983 to 2018 so had seen little daylight. All original parts and paint. when I started the bike for the first time, I shut my eyes and the noise plus the smell was pure 1980s it really triggered a memory I did know I had. A 400 in this condition would be a great pairing if that was ever possible. Just have to keep my eyes peeled for one.

I am assuming they are all the original exhaust Silencers
A bike stored for that long must have been well looked after during storage
An unbelievable find

Yes a lucky find via car and classics advert just happened to look on the right day.
'Exhausts are original and next to no rust. Inside the tank like new as well. Paintwork all original as well as the seat.
Usual lacquer lifting on casings and fork legs a winter job to sort.
But most importantly great to ride and enjoyable to look at and fiddle with.

Lovely bike , I know what you mean about the alloy, the forks on my 250 are still ok, but the engine is now needing a bit of care! (It is a pitty the left NOS fork casings are so difficult to find on those, at a reasonable price 51521-447-731).

Certainly looks to have been a great find.....love them all but the 250 deluxes I think are really special, I have a silver one owned it for 16 years now even appeared in MCN and CMM with it in the past.

Yes all nice but the delux was my preference and I got lucky. Especially like the wheels, Blue would have been my perfect choice but I have to say I am very happy with the candy red.
I rather like the engine bars as well on yours I will keep my eyes peeled for some but guess the Honda ones are rare.
I also need to get a new brake fluid reservoir cap the one with the two screws. I was meaning to get one from David silver and when I did get to it they had sold out.

Brake fluid cap is just suffering from paint lifting. I assume this is a common issue due to the brake fluid.
I could repaint if I cannot get a NOS one.

If you are going to repaint, they originally had a satin black finish, some people redo them in gloss which I think never really looks right. Probably a good idea to replace the rubber diaphragm and screws if you really want it to look very nice, these parts can easily be obtained still.
