After watching too many YouTube vids and much searching I have tried removing the ethanol from e10 using water (as it soaks up the ethanol then separates) with hilarious and dangerous results, as I dropped a jerry can to which I'd fitted a tap in the bottom, breaking off said tap and losing at least 5ltr of fuel all over my old shop floor. There must be a better way, then I came across a simple
funnel that removes impurities from petrol and diesel including water called Mr Funnel.
Now all i have to do is add water shake wait until it settles and pour off ethanol free petrol using the funnel through which water will not pass.

hello
i went into my local petrol station this morning to fill up the bike, the forecourt has only 2 pumps, both displaying diesel and petrol, on both the petrol pump handles it simply stated " E10 " on them..however whilst paying for the fuel, i got chatting to the owner and she said that the fuel in the underground bunkers was actually " E5 " but they had to be labelled E10 for legal reasons, and she said that she wouldn't have E10 at the pumps [ in the tanks ] for a minimum of 12 months possibly longer
thanks richard
