So, what with the black eyed boy project completed and to be sold to a new owner soon (when paperwork is all in order) and CM400T currently in storage awaiting a decision on what to do with her..... This is my next project. Full details to follow, I got the bike last week. 2k USD paid.....STUPID MONEY.

So I got this one a couple of weeks ago from a place called Topanga Canyon. Only around a 30 minute drive on a good day.
Seller (youngish) guy came off it last year avoiding a head on crash with a Porsche which was racing another car on the wrong side of the road. Needless to say he got a decent insurance pay out. And the Thruxton was also left in his possession and a real bonus for me - it was not branded as salvage (Cat A, B etc.). Have to say this young chap was the best I have ever dealt with when buying a vehicle.....truly one of those nice guys. He told me that the Arrow exhaust system (silencers), one of the clip ons and and front mudguard were the main casualties during the accident (silencers were thus was removed). I made some checks to ensure frame and forks were straight (as he claimed) and they are. But......

By means of a quick update on this one.
Nothing much been happening with the actual bike ATM apart from fuel drained from tank and carbs......and I have been busy sourcing appropriate parts for the project. One current debate.....should the tank remain yellow.....or I go the black route? Tough one. Hmmm.
