I have been checking over the bike I completed last year prior to sale and found the clutch lever to be a bit "off". After investigating with the wire wheel I found this -
At first I groaned and thought I had found yet another superdream bodge. Then I considered it. Actually, it was not a bad idea. Done a bit rough with a loose thread and some car filler, but it had potential. So I cleaned it up, got the old bolt out, cleaned the holes out and threaded them properly. New bolt and some very handy plastic repair stuff and I think it will live another day.
Needs a bit of sanding down and shaping, then a lick of paint, but it should be invisible and strong. Bodge... or repair ?
