NOS Lock arrived from John today for SME Plan was always to keep a single key so I was planning to try and swap the barrel pins across First challenge - Old lock Right-hand key - New Lock left-hand key - full barrel will need to be swapped Can it be pulled apart - with a small screwdriver managed so (rivet stubbs pulled back) Then off with the back The barrel held in with a non keyed pin So am I brave enough to pull the new one to bits?

Pete, How did you remove the back plate? Im trying to restore my lock. Is it a rivet? Very small screwdriver and light hammer and turned the flange up, then managed to tap it down again with a punch on reconstruction

Cant work out how to remove the barrell peter Once you remove the back plate etc put the key in then use a fine screwdriver to push the locking pin (the wafer sticking up) on the photo below in and withdraw the barrel from the front
