Well worth the collecting for the originals, especially for the 250, to which I believe the original Honda sales blurb, that it does give a slight torque boost, with the internal cross-over pipes simulating a longer Medium pressure exhaust length tuning effect.. The 400 I think should be fine with a pattern collector due to it's naturally greater torque, but I've only driven a few miles on 400NC as comparison (as it would not fire up again on MOT day last October). My collector, collecting, paused a couple of years ago, until my (pattern) Silencer collecting caught up a bit, which I need to get round to. Then I'll start collector collecting on a bargain opportunity/ condition basis again. It seemed to me that the later versions had slightly more corrosion resistant steel for the clamping petals, almost stainless ~maybe -447- numbered but certainly seemed that way on the -MC0- one's.....
