Can anyone recommend a good motorbike painter in or near Cornwall? There are some minor zip marks and chips in my tank and I'd like to have it corrected. Thanks K

Sir Duffer of this very forum is an extremely good painter, post up some pictures of the damage, his advice and suggestions will prove most useful, pics of Sir Duffers work below 👍🍺

That looks impressive. I'd prefer to get it done locally as I had a tank damaged in the post once but I will certainly keep Duffer in mind. Thanks

Hi Karen, Why don't you post up some close up pictures of the problem. Just about everyone will have the same sort of niggly scratches, and like you have and would like a solution. Silver, believe it or not, is a very forgiving colour to fix. As these tanks are a silver base coat with clear lacquer over it is also possible to rub it down a bit and polish some scratches out, or reduce them. Alternatively, if just a little painting is needed, you can get a great job done by the local "Chips Away" people. Anyway, if you post some pictures we can all join in. P.S. I am going to Cornwall three times this year, but sadly I suspect it may cost me a couple of octaves with the Mrs to break off from the holiday to paint another bike .... Great part of the world to ride though..... If it wasn't for fu##in tourists !!!

Thank you Duffer. I may have it sorted but I will bear this in mind, thank you for the lengthy response. If it does not come off with this local contact, I will get some pictures up of the problem area. Thank you again, Karen R.
