Hi everyone, Here's my 1981 Superdream in gold. I bought this in February 2022 as a project. The bike has 79,000 Km on it so relatively high mileage. The bike didn't run when I bought it, and there are a few issues with it (which I will start a separate thread for). The previous owner told me that it hadn't run for 10 years, and was sitting in his garage all that time. Cosmetically, it is not great (the photo makes it looks better than it is), but there's no rust, since it's been stored indoors. The compression looks good. I paid A$1000 (which is about GBP500) so it didn't break the bank. Honda CB250Ns weren't that common in Australia, so it's hard to get parts for them here. I will be ordering a lot of parts from either the UK or Netherlands it seems. I intend to rebuild it as a cafe racer/brat style bike, so I'm not going to be a purist in terms of getting it back to its original state. I want to get the engine running at least once before stripping it down and rebuilding. This is the kind of thing I'm aiming for: www.bikebound.com/2021/11/09/honda-cb250n/I'm looking forward to getting to know a few of you lovely people on this site! James

Fantastic first post, thank you for joining us Jimmy. I was in your neck of the woods 1999-2000 and could of quite easily stayed there, loved it.

Welcome James, I agree with the view to get the engine running before strip down but you will need to strip the carbs and clean them I think
From the tank (later style) and wheels (original Comstar) it looks like an Early NB model
I assume that as the clock is KMs only the speedo will be in Black with white lettering

Couple of comments
Is the front mudguard on back to front
The hole for the cable guide should be to the rear of the forks - it looks like it will polish up well
The brake master cylinder may be an earlier model one as it has 4 screws - the NB ones only had 2 screws so be careful if you order a refurbishment kit for it
