well ok, nearly 500 miles..450 miles [ round trip ] to be more precise... anyhoo...another jolly out to the isle of skye.... set off in good dry, sunny weather, stopping for the odd photo-shoot [ see below ] , as is the norm, got all the way to the skye bridge...then rain ! ...and non of that southern softie rain..proper scottish rain ! needless to say the hour or so travelling from the skye bridge to my final destination had my mediocre motorcyle clothing..well..pissed though ! [ new clothing thread to follow ] spent two days at my friends working on the croft [ dodging the rain and midges..suprise suprise ] only to wake up on monday morning ready to head back...yep..its was still raining ! Grrrrr rode the first 200 miles in the rain, and then the rain stopped...hurrah !....only to be replaced by scottish wind for the remaining 23 miles back to thurso en-route [ about 70 miles from home ] i called in to see the old guy who i bought the bike off originally, and his wifey made me sausage and beens on toast and several mugs of coffee, after which be gave me all dry motorcycle gear, boots, gloves, pants and jacket...and a ton of classis bike mags !....i offered him money, but he wasnt having any of it... so all in all a great ride out, the superdream loved it, despite the rain and wind, she just kept chatting along at an average speed of 50mph and fuels costs [ super unleaded ] was approx £50, with some still left in the tank [ never went onto the reserve at any point in the trip ]
and yes, my bergen really is that big, i didnt zip the rocket pockets onto the side and it was full at 100 litres..

Great pictures from a lovely part of the world. I do miss living in the Highlands and it was great to pop back there last Easter. I'm still trying to convince the rolling pin we need a house up there.

Great pics , sounds a great chap who sold you the bike , Brilliant 👍 they dont make them like him anymore...great guy..he's had all manner of british bikes since the 1950's [ gets all his old photos out to show me every time i visit ] the superdream being a bit of a heavy pig for its size was to much for him to move about, but at 81 years old i think he has done his bit for motorcycling
