I think they are down, like most things it’s supply and demand, there appears to be a lot of Superdream’s coming to market at the moment, probably due to prices going up in the last year or so. As Pete says it depends who’s looking at the time.

not entirely sure, I think people are paying slightly more than they were three years ago but if you take into account current inflation maybe prices are down overall. are the lockdown projects all coming onto the market at once?

i would say down, most superdreams [ and other bikes ] reach there zenith and no more [ aside from the odd exception ] there was a slight increase in prices for general run of the mill bikes, but thats gone away for the most part i think, and as others have said, depends on whos willing to pay more than the next person at that particular time i never buy bikes [ or anything else ] based on a percieved " market value " i will pay what i think its worth to me, and nothing more

not sure that particular bike is a gauge on the superdream market, it has quite a few non standard parts etc, and would take a resonable amount of money to put it back to how it should look like, but as a motorbike in its own right..great for blatting around on

Looks a bit nicer than my NC (though I have 2 into 2), about same mileage so shall watch with interest. If they had just put the Honda badges a little lower, could easily slap a set of ND decals on it. (Their NC braking system, replaced by 1981 calipers and discs)

I think the prices on all hobby items are on the skids right now.

There will always be a market for old bikes at least as long as there are “old gits” reliving their youth ie what they rode as teenagers they’re now retiring with bit of spare cash to throw around and they’re sucking up cheaper less desireable bikes like Superdreams😁 the high end “bikes to have” Gold stars Vincent’s etc. often bought as an investment are dropping not increasing I spoke to a chap who recently sold a genuine Rocket Goldstar for £14K they had peaked in some cases at £20K+ couple years ago he told me.Of course in todays unstable climate with employment/cost of living/inflation etc. some will have to sell their pride and joy so a bargain can be bagged if you’re lucky.Personaly I’d rather prices stayed stable or even go down so I can keep buying cheap desireable to me bikes,I am a poor old pensioner after all.

Having just sold this which was at auction on ebay and was bid up to £1532. I had a buy it now of £2200 listed. The second highest bidder came to visit and have a ride. Offered £2000 on the spot. My decision was based on experience of the ebay tosser's who win and don't turn up. Also, I liked the guy and appreciated a decent offer, so I have accepted. The first two bikes I sold a couple of years ago went for £2100 and £1850, so I would agree with CTB and Dave. First, to get a reasonable price the bike must be good and well presented. It needs to catch the eye of both the discerning buyer, and the ones who are just attracted to "bling". I shamelessly used a flash backdrop to attract attention, but also renewed the seat to demonstrate the depth of restoration. I had previously tried to sell in the same way with the seat not done and it only reached £940. The money is there, but people expect more for it now. That is my (very candid £) opinion. P.S. There is now another Superdream on the road in Rugeley. Give him a toot !

should have fitted the seat cover backwards, you'd have got the full £2200 for it then
