It has been well stored, the box a little tired on the outside but like new inside... I'm just waiting for the little screws that hold the lock arm on, original arm ok once cleaned up, and I've a decent cap, then I'll pack it away for a few years, until the bikes worked up into a decent enough condition. I think I've used my planned budget until the end of 2023 in the last couple of months! Spend to save later I keep telling myself. This tank was to good to pass by.....

You did well John. It is not easy to either fix a tank due to corrosion, or then paint it with decals up to that standard. If I charged a commercial rate to fix one, the time would be double what you paid. Being brand, is also so much better than the best repair too. It would be interesting to see measurements for decals positioning purposes. I think I get it right, but you could prove it.

I need to do a thread on decal positions. I have pics of;- Original silver NA tank (but maybe over complicated th way I measured it) Silver NB/NDB German black NB. Original NA black and now red kicker N I'm fairly sure the N decals go I'm the same place on the tank as the NA, but I should do a confidence check.
I also have an NC tank in blue with original decals, destined to be white. . Also a black NDB Tank with original decals also massively touched up, I thought it a quite reliable condition, but a tiny pinhole appeared back left. Could send it to you if you fancy some more welding practice, as it is sitting doing mothing and I don't know when I'll get round to it...

I'm OK for doing tanks just now. But if you are talking about the bottom corners...its rusted from the inside out, so it will need both sides welding.
