Well this was the least expensive Stafford show I have been to my purchases amounted to £1 for the spanner’s £8 for the wheels and £5 for the rack bag Also bought a mirror knuckle for £1 In terms of pricing I bought this from Stafford a few years back I think I paid about £130 - Thame dealer had the same cabinet for £360 In terms of the show Morton’s had spread out the enthusiasts stands to fill in for the lack of traders, key observations - No metal dealers, even Mallard Metals - only one nut and bolt dealer - used to be loads - could not find anyone selling L5 and L7 (a basic 60s spark plug)

To be fair, the show was very good, and I hope someone took some pictures. Just the exchange of tanks and spares turned into the kind of farce you could have see on "Last of the summer wine". Compo (CTB), Foggy (Brit Pete) and Clegg(yours truly). With all that going on, we kind of overlooked the show a bit. So along with the usual trade stands, wall of death and a trio of nutters leaping 50ft in the air on motocross bikes. We also had great weather. The new BSA was on show, with a selection of Indian's. One or two superdreams and bits of, superdreams. The girls in the bandstand singing us through lunch time. And my personal favourite, the ladies side car trials event. Now if only I had taken THOSE pictures. My, those girls are flexible 😏 👏 Still on today....

Well looks like the good old days of Stafford have gone I’ve been going since 1998 and only missed a few.Back then you’d roll up on your bike and park where you like inside put a for sale addy on and it would sell if priced right.Sellers not taking piss and genuine bargains even the the dealers were reasonable you could buy all the bits you wanted to fettle your bikes then ‘tinternet became more accessible bastard eBay appeared and even bigger bastards Mortons appeared and it’s gone down hill😡 Still wish I could have gone though🥲

Firstly, not a complete waste of time...great to meet up again and to meet Steve (duffer) for the first time. This was looking sad and lonely in the side hall next to the wall all on its own. The seller of this next one was asking £2K. I listened to him doing the hard sell to a guy. It's all original blah blah blah. Pattern silencers and one of the box section collector boxes fitted to it though! This is the one Pete posted earlier and was on offer for £2250 with genuine silencers and collector box. I'll add a few more pics tomorrow. My internet is bad at the moment. High resistance at the cabinet BT are telling me. It's taking forever to upload a pic and sometimes the connection just drops completely.

Interesting RS from the same seller as the silver SD. My lad and I are both convinced he said he wanted £750 for it. One for Buster? Didn't get a price, sorry. Three others I quite liked. Some SD bits for sale. The side panel has a crack in it and was missing a lug. The seat cowl was ok though. I picked the clocks up and it was like a waterfall coming out of them! The silencer was a left one and had the mounting bracket and the stand rubber still on. Uncertain if the silencer was a genuine one as I didn't look too closely. All in all, it was a pleasant day out. It stayed dry and the sun shone. I wish there was more jumble to root through but it was great to meet up again. Next show is 22-23 April next year. My lad is still 15 ( by a few days) then, so he's still free entry!

that 400a looks a decent enough bike to buy and ride, its got some hard to find bits on it like the seat, rear muddy and grab rail but one crazy conversion was enough for me . I'm considering pulling it apart this winter to give the frame a freshen up... I'd be a sucker for the xl500
