The Super dream was supposed to arrive today, but as they say in Cape Canaveral, Houston, we have a problem.. The guy selling the bike put the offside panel back on as he had charged the battery , and hey ho , the motor will not turn over. The lights are on, but there is no one else at home.. doh.. As I saw the bike run perfect prior to him putting the panel back on, I said no worries, I will sort it. so, this morning, we were supposed to push the bike up to the top of his road, then down my road to where I live, 10 minutes away. Glad we didnt, Would have looked very dodgy. Two overweight geriatrics pushing an old bike up a hill with bright red faces , trying to keep breathing.. With the weather being crap this morning , he has now asked his mate to drop it off during the week, which should have been the plan from the off. Expect some questions on wiring soon, unless the kill switch is on. Bob.

The starter solenoid is attached to the side of the battery box, so might be something has become disconnected.

Looks like the tank was originally Tanzanite Blue so may be a replacement
Carbs have been polished and cleaned very well
Still think it was a good buy

I have the bill for the carb overhaul and clean, £480 There are two new tyres, new chain , rear shocks, seat, front master cylinder and braided hoses. Perhaps at some point the bike was a barn find, and the last two owners prior to me have each done some restoration work, and then moved her on. I paid £550 for the bike, including a manual and a newly powder coated rear top box carrier. The price will allow me to fund a decent paint job on the tank and a new chrome front mudguard. The motor has really good compression when I kicked her over, just the usual list of things to check before riding her. Bob
