the route. from sherburn up to tadcaster through boston spa and wetherby to knaresborough. there we picked up the road to pately bridge and a fuel stop then up past gouthwaite reservoir to lofthouse and over the hill and past roundhill and leighton reservoirs and then on to the old station cafe just outside masham managed to dodge another heavy shower while we were there

by general agreement we decided to head from masham across the dales towards leyburn and then take the road down through west burton, buckden, kettlewell and on to a fairly familiar meeting point at threshfield garage. here we said goodbye to Ian and Gill as they were travelling to ingleton the remainder of us rode over to pately bridge to come a full circle of the dales sadly it sounds like most of us got soaked on the way home (sorry about that)

these runs are made by the people who turn up for them and I take my hat off to all those who joined this run despite the very dodgy weather, great to see familiar faces and a couple of new ones

Fantastic guys. Thank you for the pictures, despite the rain you look like you made the best of it. How wonderful.

Indeed, I am going up there tomorrow for a few days.

Thanks Buster for organising a great day out, we all know it’s not easy arranging these meets. We did well to dodge most of the rain and it was good to catch up with you all again. The Derby and Yorkshire dales are both fantastic scenery and roads to enjoy long May it last.
