That takes me back I used to do a lot of winter rallies on my old CB 200 in conditions like those ,I even flitted one winter in snow like that with all my possessions strapped on the back of my old 400 SD no furniture though I travelled light in those days

I found a twin a more rideable in snow than a four although not a pleasant thing to do,reckon I could have cracked walnuts between me bum cheeks😂😂

No never managed that one I allways went to small local rallies in and around south yorkshire I think the biggest I went to was the crooked spire rally in chesterfield

I did the Dragon in 1978,still got me unused sticker 😀 I went there on this 550F2.Can’t remember where this was taken,remember doing one Brighouse think it was the “Cold wet dark and gloomy” ........it was 😂😂

I remember one year at the gunpowder rally (cant remember where it was ) but I was dared to shin up the beer tent post and across the ridge ,I got up the pole no prob but I could'nt get my fingers over the ridge pole the tent canvas was too tight so I came back down .Up stepped the next contestant he went up the post and got half way across the ridge before he fell off and broke his leg ,the last words he said as the ambulance men carried him out was " I did it lads ,I broke my leg but I did it "
