I was about to say I wouldn’t touch one with a barge pole but then remembered I had a 400 for about two weeks, I got rid ASAP before I keeled over with boredom.

One of the most abused bikes of the time , Did anybody even bother to change the oil on one ? I remember getting one stuck down the bottom of a muddy valley we just left it there to rut as the effort of pushing it out was not worth it .

"I guess bikers in the 70/80s either liked or hated Superdreams , if someone didn't like them then they won't like them now. But it wasn't Britains biggest selling 250 for nothing it cost more than an RD but still outsold it and it's looks were very modern for the day. I think guys who were not on a 250 bike in 1980 just won't get the passion we had for that first big bike on L plates. By 1982 they were worthless even 250LCs could barely be given away"

But Prince Comstar, has thou a Superdream in one's LA obode, if not then why not, surely riding out to one of your celebrity parties on a mighty SD will make you the star of the show, and no, just no, that Ferrari is no substitute, there's only one mighty Italain car on this forum, and that's my glorious Alfa, sort it out man, SD on Sunset Boulevard, make it happen or suffer thy wrath, except this challenge, TGHLB commands thee 🤨🍺👍

TGHLB may have a point here, it would be pretty exclusive to have a superdream in america, cant be many british spec bikes over there

I hear you guys. I had my 400T American Hawk which I sold. Should of kept it of course. But then again, that was an American spec bike, so not a UK bike abroad as it were. I have mentioned bringing my 400 here in the recent past. I am looking into it. It would be great to have that one here. Will keep you informed. One things for sure, my 250 will certainly be staying in good old Blighty.

"Bought my mates of him for my 18th birthday, 79 on a T plate, just over 1000 miles on it, the dreaded mk6 or what ever with the dodgy ballance chain. Had it for almost 3 years, think I put about 40k on the clock, bloody good work horse, never let me down."
