Pure class Rich, love it. I saw some the abuse you were getting from mates on FB. Buggers, lol. Ha ha yes Nick I get a fair bit of banter in work as well, 150 posties I was bound to get a stack of abuse, I can take it on the chin as I do give a bit in return all good banter

Used to sell loads of Harry Moss alarms back in the day. Probably sell 10 of them to 1 Sparkrite alarm. Dead easy to fit, quite reliable and priced well to sell. The most popular was the MS705 and you could buy the ultrasonic sensor, MS703, as an accessory that plugged straight into the back of the alarm. This car had Remote moss sensor located right above radio & looked as if it had been screwed right into dash Luckily for me though it was fixed with strong double sided adhesive & I managed to get it free with no damage to dash just a tiny bit of discolouration which I will live with although I will try a bit of light cleaning to see if I can blend it a bit.

This is a great story. It’s amazing what a set of wheels can do to transform a car’s appearance. Good idea to keep the original wheels in case you ever sell it as those nutters known as purists can be very disparaging about mods, period or otherwise eh, Nick?
I assume you’re going to keep it standard as it looks to be very original, the wheels are a very acceptable upgrade in my humble opinion abs something that’s easy to switch back should the need arise. I too had a Capri ( didn’t we all at some point?) and I loved it but it was a 1.3 so deffo underpowered but I was 17/18 so probably enough given my experience. It looked the part though!

Yes a lot of us had a Capri back in the day, this car is very very original as only covered 25600 miles & stuff included in sale confirms low mileage, it’s never had any body welding & is a sound straight car & I won’t be changing anything while I own it, the wheels are stored safe & sound as it will be worth more if I ever sell it, I won’t be use it it in wet or bad weather but it will be used on a regular basis weather permitting bit like my bikes really.

The purist thing is can be very personal and addictive but I don't see the harm at all especially if original parts are retained. At the end of the day, it's our personal choice. I think those wheels look great on this car.

The desire for me to get an 80s motor is as strong as ever....and being here in California does not help, they can be cheap to buy atm (but maybe a sponge in future maintenance costs). 99% of the population here will see this as a tired old 84 Firebird....me.....I see KITT. Bring on the White Rider: But I'll forever see this:
