Yes, they are good value and dimensions as per original. Some said they worried about the lock nut under the top plate slackening, but the pair I've got look ok. I've got a pair of those oversized shocks, they will go on the DX.

as john's already said the tec ones are really nice copies of the originals I'v fit them on mine (bit of squeezing, grunting and swearing but not as bad as a lot of pattern stuff) have to confess I havent put the chainguard on yet but I dont think there will be any problem

I've got a pair of those oversized shocks, they will go on the DX. I would have sent mine back to Silvers but can't as I bought them 4 years ago in 2017 and they have been sitting in the box

before you order the tec ones, would you like me to check the ones that I got for the cafe racer? I can pick them up tomorrow evening and check that the chainguard will fit and we could do a swap if my shocks are suitable for your bike

The bottom fitting does not fit on the swing arm either
I'll sell the other ones on or donate them

Faced a similar situation when replacing my shocks, bought some off ebay, no idea who made them but they were way to soft and needed improvement so made a couple of spacers to firm things up a bit, reassembled then welded the central absorber thingy to the top mount and refinished, seems OK, they've been on a good few years now and I'm not dead yet, always a bonus.

I have also fitted those TEC replica shocks and have had at least 1000 trouble free miles with them, very good value for money shocks and they look like the FVQ ones.
