Hi all,
I've just acquired a cb250na. It's going to be a bit of a project though. It had been sat in a friend's back garden for a couple of decades, but the frame and swingarm and forks are in remarkably good condition. It doesn't have any of the plastics or a seat and some of the wiring is a little bit suspect, but the dvla lists it as being in the fastest blue colour.

Welcome along, get that bleed nipple on the caliper drenched in wd40 . The caliper is already off awaiting a full rebuild. Looks like someone has tried to get to the pads previously as the screw to get the cover off is nicely rounded, so I think I'm going to have to weld a nut to it to get it out. Same goes for the screws on the carb. I'm on to my second large can of wd40 on it trying to free up things that should move and all the nuts and bolts I've taken off so far have been soaking in harpic to get the rust off.

The plastic window on the caliper cover, is very hard to comeby....if you are welding in proximity

Never heard of using harpic be interested in seeing some before and after pics please

John has mentioned the calliper cover - when you strip the exhaust system (pretty much gone) try and save the collector box especially if it’s an original Honda part again difficult to get hold of and when you can expensive
