Yesterday I had the top end off the 400NC, when it was all back together started on the nail with the choke
Took it out for a 30 mile run today, after 8 miles I needed to switch it onto reserve but ran OK
Half a mile from home stopped and put E5 fuel in it
When I tried to restart nothing, turned over
After a bit of playing about I discovered opening the throttle fully and turning it over it started - ride it the half mile home - I got a back fire (I think as it could have been something else)
Back home switched off and I had the same issue restarting
The carbs were drained, removed but cables not disconnected
I put a red spark indicator on the bike when it was turning over and not starting - sparking well
Put the bike away tomorrow will see if it starts from cold
Any thoughts please

If it was on a car, I would suggest the crank position sensor

sounds like too much fuel? I'd give the float bowls a tap, if that fails I'd check the float heights havent been disturbed
