Wonderful save, but then again I knew it would be. Quality work Steve. My but I wish I was so confident. Besides, this tank recently had petrol in it. I may find myself decending on Lord Beers Hall sooner than expected with my arse on fire š„ I favour the hillbilly approach to making safe. Long pole with a blow lamps tied to the end....yeehaa !

Thy tank looks challenging, but I suspect you shall overcome.
Just in case I have a big net and fire extinguisher on standby.

The old tin worm always get's these tanks in that area I wonder why That area is below the fuel tap level, so even if it appears you have drained all the fuel it has that corrosion potential there especially if stored on the side stand. If I store previously used tanks off bike now, better to store them inverted in a "64litre really useful" plastic box I've found. Though I do try and get all the traces of petrol out first.
