Just read a post on SD forum about a guy who put a 15 tooth front sprocket on his 400 and found it was a big improvement. Has anyone tried this out?

It will decrease top speed and improve acceleration
Would not thought it would make a material difference

I ran 17/41 2.41 with r-comstars on the four4 (rather than 17/38 2.24), I found it geared it down to much. I needed a bit more clearance for the JMC swing arm and there was no standard 38T rear for the r-comstar. That is about 7.8%.
Using a 15T/36 instead of 16T/36 is about ~6.5% roughly?? I think perhaps still a bit to much.
I think an interesting one may be 16/37 520 using a CM400 rear sprocket, I don't know if there was a Honda Original in that size, but I've certainly got a pattern one somewhere...2.31 rather than 2.25 ~ 2.7%ish. (though visible if no std rear)
