Colour: Helios Red. Paint code : R-33 I found that Honda blade silver, widely available, was close enough to use on some items as a substitute for Custom Silver Metallic on my 250NA, it was ~95% match apparently , and looked about right when applied. Please can anyone advise a rattle can paint colour, they have used, that is a >90% match for R-33 kicker red? This is for it's working clothes, not for its dress uniform , (and will still be fast silver under.... ) I was looking on Halfords paint racks yesterday, and Honda blade silver was absent , I'm already stockpiling Honda Orchid white in Lieu NH-111 for my white bikes endeavour, and intend using Blade Silver as the Penultimate coat before the white. No Satin Black Acrylic rattle cans either yesterday, though there still seams to be a space on the shelf.

dont know if this helps but a couple of independent car spares shops near me both have machines in them to mix paint to any colour code you give them and supply it in a rattle can

That Toyota red looks good, I don't have an original panel of tank to compare, the original Tank and panels will need done and a second set for running the bike at the moment, until some of the other bikes are functional. Perhaps mix and match with NOS later. I also may do an ND set, but I would do that in the same red, as it is an original kicker, best being as close to R-33, where I'm unlikely to have an original ND any time soon.
But if I do a ND set with non standard red, I best print a full set of decals, as I've only got NOS Tank and side panel decals for that scheme. (Won't use the NOS decals unless the paint looks original in most cases, that would be a waste). Will have to improve my graphics knowledge to try the kickers tank strip decal blue gradient.
There is an auto paint vendor about 35 mins drive away, who can mix most, but it is defining what the mix is to be....

It's always a bit of a tricky one matching old Honda colours in fact any older bike colours.
The absolute best way (if you can do it) is to get hold of a NOS panel or other painted piece that has been boxed for 35/40 odd years and hardly seen the light of day...then get a good painter to match it from that.

Thanks for that Terry, I think Milano Red R-81 may be the one to go for, over a bright yellow pre-coat, rather than grey. This would be because it is still in use as a 2021 colour by Honda.
The 3E5 Toyota Super red is good as well but not current, a 90s colour.
Porsche Guards Red is current, but again would need a bright pre-coat layer to be closer to helios red.
I read a bit on Porsche Guards Red, within a forum post, owners bitching a bit on how hard it was to exact match, if you sprayed the likes of a bumper, in fact it would never 100% match, and repeated blending was not good either.....
So I will ask the auto-paints place I think, the milano red is off the rack, but the best way to go may be to get enough paint for a few sets mixed in one go. Mix and match with NOS my not be viable anyway.
I'm going to pursue
Milano Red R81 over yellow, (if mixed perhaps tweeked with 1-2% yellow, over grey, but could they replicate in a few years??.)
or
Historic Colour;- Porsche 6011 Signal Red, which would go over the medium gray primer already on the panels that came. There was an old Porsche I used to frequently walk past back in the 80s, that I admired, which would have been that Signal Red.
