Strangely, no queues at all at the EV charging points. I'm beginning to wonder if this all just a government ploy to get people to buy these new fangled machines. Does Boris have shares in Tesla?
doubt it, the national grids woefully under supplied too (oh god I hope the morons dont read that, they'll all be turning their lights on) , theres an engineering firm next door to where I work that has a diesel tanker there every three days to top up the tank on their generator as thats the only way they can get the power required. theres also a wonderful irony with domestic wind turbines in that they need power from the grid to control them, wind gets too high-the brake is controlled with grid power. the best bit about them is if theres a power cut they shut down completely, marvellous stuff this modern progress

My god…..I’ve just had a realisation about all this.
Before I spill my theory, what do other members think lead to this shambles?

Part two: Aged fuel leads to aged ethanol. Anyone with me so far? Should be woopsy fuel, marked down with a yellow label on the pumps? How do they stop it separating in the storage tanks, does that mean when the tanks were nearly empty they could be dispensing E80

I had a pleasant chat to a tanker driver today. He said that they don't flush them out so it may have E10 in it one day and super unleaded the next. Even diesel. He said that additives get added at the terminal through the nozzles when filling the tankers. There is plenty of fuel available, just that they can't keep up. Without the panic buying, the supply would be manageable.
He also said that there is no difference in the fuel from supermarkets to the big brand stuff as they come from the same tanks. Supermarkets mostly use ESSO as they do a better price than the others. He told me to buy the cheapest supermarket stuff like they, the tanker drivers, do.

Morrisons KY1 this morning, plenty E!0 & some Diesel, but seemed to be out of E5, no panic obvious.Reluctantly put 15 litres of E10 in the car.

This driving around for fuel is a real pain, by the time I found a working pump I was so emotional I started to fill up.
I'm terribly sorry about that, I can't tell a good fuel related joke..... .....but my mate Jerry can. Oh dear, where's my coat 😄
