I prefer the look of the old one but times change. I like the modern retro look as well.
BSA owned by Mahindra yes Or at least the marque / brand only rather than any of the other stuff. Didnt the Yanks snap up a lot of the old BSA manufacturing gear shortly after they went down the drain early 70s.

I understood the modern machinery went to an Italian manufacturer pretty soon into their decline to recoup some dosh for shareholders.But where I got that from who knows😂😂

Quite possible. There is a video somewhere out there of an American buying some of the machinery up but that may have only been a small part of it, it's online somewhere. A sad day, I remember it well.

Yes I couldn’t believe it happened either.I went inside the factory in 1970 it was massive you could see the test track from the train when passing

Mahindra own the mark and also that of Jawa. They do make bikes under the Jawa name but haven't seen anything under BSA before. Maybe they are trying to cash in on the popularity of Royal Enfield and will revive the mark.
