CB250T / CB250N Base Gaskets, I seem to have CB250T gaskets, I'm sure they were listed as 250N when bought. However DSS states;- "GASKET,CYLINDER *B Part number 12191-414-020 has been superceded by Part number 12191413307 Part number 12191-414-000 has been superceded by Part number 12191413307" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- However on another site, should it be this? (no picture, or applicability list) Search results for 12191-414-, Genuine OEM parts
Maker Part Number Name Weight Price
HONDA MOTO 12191-414-306 ガスケツト,シリンダ- (AS) I was concerned that number is the later engine, but;-

I think this looks better for the 250 But phoned DSS and they say the 413-307 is what the Honda Database is saying (but I think I want to get a 306 and record its shape...

when I get chance I'll take the cheapo crappy one out of the set, offer that up to the 250's barrels, then compare to the nice new one

Looks as if the green one will have the heat activated adhesive around the oilway area.
You use round plastic drain pipe and wood across pieces/aides or the "Ryan" way ??
How he didn't tear the base gasket or break a ring is a wonder...

How he didn't tear the base gasket or break a ring is a wonder... as you say, the heat activated adhesive plus they are just so much more substantial. I drop some square section light alloy rods across (base gasket lifted at that point) sadly though no ring clamps for 250 slugs, might have a crack at making some
