some people have had trouble installing taper rollers (I'v seen pics of them smashed to bits) so thought I'd post this first thing I do is tap the top cup in gently with a nylon hammer until it seats then tap the bottom cup in as far as I can get it with nylon hammer again then using this arcane device that I made up years ago (couple of SD top bearing cups recently added) I pull the bottom cup into its seat, worth noting that you shouldnt need too much force if its travelling straight then I push the bearing onto the bottom yoke with my fingers, have a good look round to see if its straight, then use the top nut (c spanner jobby) to press the bearing into position on the stem (top bearing not fitted at this point)
