80 odd quid for this lil metal jacket?.....I think I'm in the wrong job. Joking aside, thanks to those who produced this for the forsight and piece of mind.

All went back together swell (in the end) by the way. But had some running issues after fitting...Popping and banging the works.
Hmm. Was beginning to suspect all kinds, even though my gut throughout was still fuel starvation on one of the pots. Anyway, after draining the carbs on each side using a spare bowl I quickly realised it was a fuel starvation issue on the LHS. After that, a quick few taps with a rubber mallet on the offending carb quickly cured it....and fuel was seen to be seen tricking properly through on that side after that.
Begs the question though, I only put the best you can get over here in these bikes....but how sh*t is it now the quality of even the best fuel? Obviously very sticky in a short space of time. Fore warned an all that.

I know that fuel is expensive enough right now. And I have previously rubbished this type of product as a bit of a con. But for anything more or less than a month without action then maybe it should be considered. Failing that, just fettle the carbs (if you have the time and patience). Goes without saying though. If you are riding and using it regularly and burning away this horrible shite fuel within a week max then you can scroll away now as it simply will not apply to you.

I’ve always viewed this sort of product as “snake oil” ie waste of money.A lot of Americans on bike forums I frequent swear by a Product called “Seafoam” 😁.My Superdream runs fine on E10 but I run the carbs dry every trip,my Valkyrie runs fine on E10 too but I filled up with E5 over winter. On a different note I’ve read that Ethanol could be phased out as it is of no benefit towards “ saving the planet “ and the areas used to produce it could be put to better use growing wheat etc. to feed the hungry a problem caused by Mr.Putins invasion of Ukraine, fingers crossed🤞🏽

Dave uses E10 as he’s never got it in the tank long. He’s always riding them, the way it should be. (I’ll get me coat)

as dave said they seem to run fine on the stuff (might lean out a bit with carbs right at the top end but are we all on race tracks?) my biggest concern with the SD's are the rubber plugs inside the carbs.
my own observation (uncontrolled and un scientific) is that the grotty sh*te seems to store better in an air tight container than a fuel tank with a breather

All jesting aside CTB, how do you cope? Do you drain most of them dry? Or just deal with issues when you want to dig one out and ride one?
I struggle with 5 let alone the amount you have.
