got a genuine one in a job lot of bits, it looked ok until I stripped it of paint, turned out to be about 20% spit and chewing gum. welded it up though and used it on the resto 400

Seriously. The bolts will need grinding off and drilling out, then re threading. Damn good sand blasting or acid dipping. Hurl som paint at it. It will be like new.

Carefully unbolt it, take said rusty shite to the bin and throw it in and purchase a replacement, don't know if David Silver still sell them, but this has been on my bike for about 7 years and still looks good, then have a beer and worry about something else 😄🍺👍
