Driving up the road earlier I clocked this Bonnie. The gates on this house are normally closed. I did a U turn parked up and could see no sign of life. It's only a few miles down the road and tomorrow I am going to enquire as to if the bike may be for sale (note in hand if still no one around). Curiously it's wearing out of state plates from 2018 so will certainly be a slight recommission job at the very least.
I've only ever done this type of thing once before way back and it was with a car.....but all back fired in the end as the owner said yes I will sell it (but the price he was asking was ridiculous and way way over market value). And herein lies the issue. If people know you want something they have then the price often goes North. It's human nature.....most of the time meaning that something will sit and rot into eternity.
I guess it does not do any harm. But has anyone ever had a good result from this type of thing?
Once with a VW Beetle that I noticed has been sat in a garden for a few years. Note left on windscreen as no answer at the door. Phone rang a few weeks later asking to make an offer. I did and I picked the car up the following week.
I notice she does not say if the husband is willing to sell, but it looks like she is!
Cast the expert eye, don't forget to add the intake of breath, consider a price, take the cash out of your pocket and offer of half the price first thought of
