Ones the past 2 years I have purchased 3 NOS Honda Mirrors Left to right Delivered yesterday advertised as NOS Honda XL 250 Mirror, note the washer missing but it came in the original Honda bag - Righthand Bought June 2020 advertised as CX CM CB400 etc mirror - Lefthand Bought Dec 2020 as Superdream 250/400 N mirror - Lefthand Looking at the rears again Left to Right 250XL Mirror stated from the 70s by the seller Bottom Marking TTP-RT136 Top Marking None CX Mirror (as what I believe it is but someone may correct me) Bottom Marking TTP-RT136 Top Marking III e11 01*3411 superdream Mirror Bottom Marking TTP-RT136 Top Marking III e6 99012 First of all the top marking on the CX and SD mirror e11 is the European directive compliance mark for UK e6 is the European directive mark for Belguim so this mirror was made for the Belguim market!!! My deduction is the XL mirror was made before this EU directive For completeness the directive was later updated and the e changed to E More coming in part 2

I paid £19.50 for the CX one, £28.10 for the Superdream one and £24.62 for the XL one (all inc postage)
Just had a look at the mirrors on SME - they have no “e mark” but the set that was originally on MDW have the e6 mark on them
The plot thickens

For what it's worth, Pete, the mirrors on my 400NC, 1983 registered, are marked III e6 99012 as well. As I've mentioned previously, I believe the bike has been dropped on its left at some point in its life due to the scratch marks on on it, but suspect some parts have been replaced. I think the mirrors may be original to it as they have road rash on the left mirror.
Parts known to be incorrect are the seat cowl, headlamp bowl and grips. (And the front muddy!) The bars I don't know about for certain as they have a slight bend in them but are higher than standard UK bikes and are more like the German ones.
The seat cowl is the earlier type, no kick up, but the seat is the later type, hence the gap that was cleverly disguised using plastic, glued to the cowl and sprayed to match! The headlamp bowl is plastic but in a shiny silver finish, like chrome.
The mirrors on the Black Pig (250NA) have no markings at all, so are aftermarket replicas with, what I will call, patina (rust!).
