Saw some calipers on the bay and had a punt on them. Won at £41.01 plus P&P of £6.95 which was the actual cost of postage for once. Three are pretty much complete. Here they are getting ready for a soaking of WD Gave them a quick spray and look over The bleed nipples came out very easy The screws holding the pad covers on were, shall we say, a little chewed. So the new tool came out to cut them As John commented about it, take it slowly and it works ok. Head cut off the screw and a look inside Vise grips employed et viola! The caliper that had no cover with it has the butchered screw still in it. There's not enough to grip what's left so it will be ground flat and drilled out. I hope to remove it with an easy out but that can wait. In fact everything else has to wait as I had to then do the school run and it was basketball from 6pm to 10pm with the kids. Then Stafford on the Saturday, more basketball on Sunday and Monday was just the normal Monday work drag. I hope to get more done later this week. I already have the caliper for the Black Pig stripped ready to rebuild so these are not needed for anything at the moment. I will build up the Black Pig caliper with the lad watching and let him build up one of these. All I need to do is get hold of some kits for those. Any recommendations of a supplier?

most of those look pretty good, as in complete, nice buy.
I used a TRK kit in the 400 resto and was very happy with the quality of the stuff, stainless pots too, I think wemoto stock them

These ones I bought still have the red dot on them too. I'll have a look at those kits, thanks.

I can see a bit of profit selling the ones you don’t need off

Be aware that sometimes the shorter 400 pistons are supplied in the 250 kits as well as 400 bleed nipples that have a different thread to the 250.
From memory individual rubber boots are also available.
