Will the superdream cdi work on the 250t. Same engine and everything. Will not rev. Carbs all done and pristine. Starts ticks over but will not rev.

Experience on the forum is it may take 2 or 3 attempts on the Carbs to get them correct
I would expect the CDI is interchangeable as the 250T and the 250N have the same part number for the CDI on the CSMNL web side

I'd guess that the 250t dream models would have a very similar (if not the same) nippon denso set up. the cdi's on the 250 rarely (I'm told) fail so could be worth checking other areas as well if you havent already done so. rex's speedshop have good figures for a stator check, worth trying a known good coil too if you can lay your hands on one.
worth also unplugging the black and white wire near the cdi just to see if it revs then, you'll have to stall the bike to stop it though

Red neon plug cap time me thinks...
Won't rev over 4k ish revs, even when cold, or when hot.
Multimeter stator resistance check when cold and hot, tabulate results.
Multimeter AC volts output test on all stator ign wires, increase revs, increase rate of change, increase in ac volts.
Suspect a decrease in ac volts down to about 28 volts AC, then misfire/surging....
You have access to a "mega" tester and someone who knows how to use it !
You will get by successfully with a pair of neons and adapters, a strobe timing light ( to check ign advance, are your exhaust header pipes getting red hot by the head ? ) and a multimeter with AC volts.
It's best to rule out an ign fault, or in. Saves needing a wig for Xmas.
