What has been your greatest motorbike or car bodge repair to date? Cosmetical / Mechanical, anything goes. I've got a very recent one myself....photos taking a while though, bear with. (Very dull though, concerns the handle bars of all things). Would love to hear about 'em. (from a friend of a friend of course).

Here's my recent bodge. I wonder who can work out what the dickens is going on here? I really dislike bodging and rarely get involved in it - but my hands were a bit tied on this one.

I once snapped a clutch cable right at the handlebar end in a small village in cumbria. I managed to lay my hands on a spark plug screw on tip, put that on the end of the cable and beat it flat with a brick, worked a treat, I ran it like that for months

Not a bike but a car
Work colleague 30 years ago bought a Mk1 gold from auction
On checking over found rockers covered in grease - removed it and engine ceased 20 miles later
New engine from scrap yard

My brother in law once managed to get home after breaking a shocker by joining the swing arm to the seat rail with his belt
