I have the usual running issues and as per usual I'm now getting really frustrated. It think we are only firing on 1 most of the time. I've had the carbs off and all jets are clear, I have also cleaned the carbs in a ultrasonic bath. It starts but the choke appears to make no difference to the running. It did rev freely when I put the carbs back on so I thought I had cured the issue. However on a test ride it soon returned. I have swapped the coil packs from a well running bike so I think its carb and not ignition however on inspecting the plugs one appears wet and sooty se photos below. So I’m thinking if it’s wet is it ignition? Should I try putting another cdi on it 🤷♂️ ? Any suggestions guys?

have you tried swapping the plug leads round to see if the problem switches over to the other cylinder? that should help determine wether its carbs or ignition

are they 250 or 400? have you tried my non health and safety approved slide test? put your gob round the bits circled in red and blow until the slide hits the top, see if theres any notable difference between the two
