My headlight stopped working so I bought a new bulb and put it in but still nothing. However, the pass switch illuminates the headlight as expected so the bulb is ok. All I can think of is that it must be the switch or another wiring issue. I took the right hand lo/hi switch assembly off but it appears to be a sealed unit. Would the best option be to replace the switch. Not sure what else to try.

First test is to put a meter across the black/yellow and earth and see if you have power when the headlamp is on

The pass button illuminates the headlamp. Would that be on a separate fuse to the headlamp switch.

The pass button illuminates the headlamp. Would that be on a separate fuse to the headlamp switch. Thank you all. I found the problem. It was a fuse but not as apparent as it first seemed. Firstly the pass button illuminates the headlight even if there is no headlight fuse present. I noticed that the tail lamp and headlight fuse were the same rating so I swapped them round but still not working. I then noticed that the fuse contact points were dirty and not very tight so I cleaned them and what was the tail light fuse powered the headlight. It was at that point that I discovered that the headlight fuse had a loose end cap so depending on how I removed the fuse it would either work or not. Two problems in short, dirty and weak contacts and a faulty fuse. On to the next problem now.
