Ladies and gentlemen, I refer you back to this article about petrol. hondasuperdream.co.uk/thread/1105/petrol-truthAn interesting read and I think I may go along with the conclusion. And keep an eye on what they write on the pumps. Apart from the four major supermarkets selling petrol around here, we do have ESSO, Shell and BP along with a few of the small companies. My closest place is 3 miles away and goes under the Power brand. They do seem sell a load of local potatoes! It's worth remembering what your home insurance states about storing fuel, especially as my son nearly burnt the place down this very minute when the toaster caught fire! You should have seen me carrying this flaming ball out of the house by the lead and dumping it in the big water bucket I use to make my cement.

toasters definitely dont run on unleaded This one looked to be running perfectly judging by the colour of the plug but the colour of the flames led me to the conclusion it was actually running weak. A good quality replacement is being sought and son is banned from driving it until he is 16. He now has 3 penalty points on his cooking licence which will come off when he is 21 or can cook a Sunday dinner AND wash up after.

Right.....no joke.....I'm going to try this.
I'd like to see just how much of this crap they are putting in the best fuel you can get here in Cali..... just need to find one of those containers with a tap on the end and some food dye. This could be interesting. Watch this space.
Note: This is nothing to do with the current scaremongering in the UK about E10......but something I have been meaning to check out for a while.

When I say the best gas (petrol) you can get here sorry that's not true.....
I have been in talks for a while with a company in Downey that is offering 5 gallons of 98 octane ethanol free for $66.
Is this a good deal?

Buster - I think together we need to set up a 'non ethanol' shop.... probably go down a storm in the US of A, probably frowned upon in blighty could we make cocktails from the left over ethanol? another thought is that it lowers the octane, that in turn can take you ever closer to the dreaded detonation (very bad) SD's at 9.3:1 compression hopefully would be ok especially with the octane booster (good ones are a bit of a bugger to store though)
