After lunch that bottom engine bolt came out after lots of heat, the breaker bar and a large lump hammer. Decided at this point that I would drop the bike off the paddock stand release the engine bolts and lift the frame off the engine. So time to get the rest out the way. Looks like someone’s been here before, maybe they didn’t have a breaker bar.

i would probaly cut the speedo cable in half...the fork leg could then be removed, then work on the screw..

Well I’m done for the day, a lot of swearing a lot of heat and sometimes the angle grinder here you go Same as the few days I've had trying to fit an aluminum breather pipe into a Bonnie crankcase clutch cover. I've now broken the breather which is over 100 quid. Really really p*ssed off.

bloody hell carl, I think you've earned a curry after that. are the air forks off an export model? the only ones I know of in the SD family are the nighthawk ones
that front lower engine bolt looks like trouble, its really easy to break the alloy that its stuck in (yep, been there, done that) I'd probably try heating it with MAP gas over and over again hosing it down with penetrating fluid each time, then fingers crossed and hope
top work so far

The man moves like shit off a shiny shovel. Totally agree with buster and lay that engine on one side on a solid surface with the stuck stud part of the case fully supported. I used a cut down bit of scaffold pipe. With no support that case will snap.(but you know this stuff) Great work 👏
