That engine looks superb and I am envious of your lifting gear, when I fitted my engine I made do with a trolley jack, some timber and lots of questionable language, my swear box rival's the bank of England's coffers ๐

The engine was indeed raised into position with thy mighty hands, help was unfortunately not forthcoming, but by the power of beer and hammers the task was completed, soon after this same sequence of events was applied to the FireBlade rebuild, TGHLB completed this task with brute force and ignorance, injuries and bodily trauma do not concern thy, the task at hand is all important ๐๐บ

The young lady will probably be choking back tears Steve. You heartbreaker you. Made one or two cry, but mostly out of disappointment ๐ ๐คฃ I will be selling it. First refusal is naturally Jenny, after that, the highest bidder.

Number plate a bit knackered but right decision to leave it be Great job (again) You are so right Pete. I think you can have new one's made if you have a pattern, which I do. It is the only scruffy bit I am keeping.

Kick start problem. The kick start shaft works perfectly, right up to the moment the clutch cover goes on. Then the bastard seizes up ? Luckily I have a spare engine to inspect to see if I have been thick. Took the cover off that one, and it was just like the one in the bike. Put it back together again and guess what,it seized up just like the first one. ๐ก๐คฌ๐ฑ๐คฏ Called Buster for advice...just as stumped as me. It should bloody work !!! Fiddled about some more and worked out that the square spacer inside the return spring was catching. Offered it back in a few alternative positions and found one that worked. Just to prove the point, I did the same on the engine in the bike...problem solved ๐ My swear box is now full. Where is Lord Beer when you need him...DRINK !!!
